My busy small animal practice based in Burgess Hill (15 mins from Brighton and Crawley) is recruiting for a Practice Manager to join my friendly team!

The successful candidate will assist me with the day-to-day organisation and management of the practice and ensure a high level of customer service is delivered at all times. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good team leading skills/experience
  • Administrative and organisational skills
  • Previous experience of HR, finance and business management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong customer service drive and experience

Our practice is purpose built with separate dog/cat/isolation wards, 3 consult rooms and theatre and a large extension is underway with completion expected in time for summer 2018. You will be joining a talented and supportive team made up of 6 vets, 7 registered veterinary nurses, 2 student nurses, 2 veterinary care assistants and a welcoming reception team.

The practice is fortunate to have such a lovely, friendly group team who work incredibly hard to provide our patients with excellent care. We have wonderful clients and have grown extremely quickly primarily due to word of mouth. This is fantastic but creates its own challenges – how do we continue to provide the same level of service as we get busier? How do we ensure we don’t lose that personal touch? How do we manage with the space that we have until the extension is finished? How do we then increase our capacity to utilize fully the new space and equipment to cover the cost of the investment? I need someone to support me with these challenges and bring new ideas to the table. We have a strong focus on helping charities and I would like to develop links with more. I need an individual who can help support the team during this demanding time and ensure they feel valued for the amazing work they do.

This is a full time role with just one Sunday required per month.

In return, we offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • Pension scheme
  • Pastoral care, emotional wellbeing and support
