The Role of a Regional Organiser

The Role of a VMG Regional Organiser2018-03-03T19:17:05+00:00

Our Regional Organisers (ROs) are the heart and soul of our organisation!

Our Regional Organisers play an important role in helping us to reach our members, and in giving us feedback regarding their needs. They help with co-coordinating VMG activities, and regularly providing members within their area with high quality discussions and CPD. It’s an easy and rewarding role, so if you’re keen on supporting your colleagues in veterinary business and would like to find out more, read on…..

We encourage our Regional Organisers to put on regular meetings and assist them fully in doing so. These meetings allow the members to network and discuss current issues and have proven very popular when combined with a speaker to present on a certain topic.  Our aim is for our members not to feel alone in the workplace and have a meeting they can attend to discuss any issues they may have.

REGIONAL ROADSHOWS 2018!

To make the role of RO even easier, in 2018 the VMG will assist RO’s more than before by offering 3 themed ‘Roadshows’ which are essentially a ‘meeting in a box’ that a RO can request and then allow the VMG Office to organise the time, date, venue, speaker arrangements and delegate registrations. All you need to do is turn up and host the meeting! And even then you will be posted all of the materials that you need to do so!

Overall Responsibilities of a Regional Organiser

Get together!

We invite all RO’s attending our annual Congress to the Thursday evening social event, at VMG’s expense, to say thank you for all of the hard work during the previous year. We also usually hold an RO’s meeting annually at VMG/SPVS Congress to discuss the year ahead!

The role of Regional Organiser is voluntary. You’ll need to be a VMG member.

If you would like to discuss the Role of a Regional Organiser further, please contact the VMG Office.
