Equine Practice Manager – Cliffe Equine Vets, East Sussex

Cliffe Equine Vets is part of the Cliffe Veterinary Group Ltd.  It is a busy fully equipped equine veterinary practice set in 34 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside.  We are looking for a Practice Manager who is to be able to lead the team of 18 people, working alongside the Directors. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied management role.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Good people management skills
  • The ability to drive and motivate teams
  • An understanding of business management

This role is vital to the day-to-day running of the Practice.  You will be involved in decision-making, marketing and helping to achieve our aim of providing great customer care to our equine clients.  Previous experience of working in a veterinary practice is not essential, but previous management experience is.  The salary will be commensurate with experience for a full-time Monday to Friday role.

Manager – Chiltern Equine, Berkshire

Chiltern Equine Clinic is seeking a dynamic, driven manager to work within our busy successful equine practice. Full or part time position considered, with flexible working hours.  The position will be based at our Blueberry Farm Hospital in Warfield, Berkshire, although travel to the branch practices will be required.  The successful candidate will work closely with the director who wishes to focus on clinical work.  Your main responsibilities will include management of staff, including vets, nurses and receptionists, general office management, marketing, developing and growing the practice.

Reception Manager – Companion Care Fareham Collingwood, Hampshire

Do you live, or are you relocating, near to Gosport along the south coast?  We have an exciting opportunity for a Reception Manager to run our front of house in our Companion Care Vets Fareham Collingwood surgery.

We are a busy surgery, taking local cardiac referrals and require someone to run the day-to-day front of house, alongside the Joint Venture Partners, Practice Administrator and Head Nurse to ensure we are providing gold standard customer (and patient) service.

Practice Manager – Tomlinson Equine, Gloucestershire

Reception Manager – Companion Care Portsmouth and Havant Vets4Pets, Hampshire

An amazing opportunity has arisen for a reception manager to run our front of house for two surgeries: Companion Care Vets Portsmouth and Havant Vets4Pets, located along the wonderful south coast.  You will work alongside the Joint Venture Partners, Practice Administrator, Head Nurse and Senior Veterinary Surgeon to ensure we are providing gold standard customer (and patient) service.

You will be one of four reception managers within our local group of surgeries. You will be required to work 40 hours a week, split between both surgeries, be part of the reception team weekend rota pattern, and manage nine receptionists, including a deputy and two senior receptionists. You will not be expected to work any Out of Hours.

Your role will include, but not be limited to:

  • People management, such as recruitment and retention of staff, training, appraisals and reviews
  • Reception rota management, including pattern setting, holiday and absence management
  • Diary management, such as implementing vet pattern, ensuring correct appointment bookings and last minute amendments as needed
  • Insurance claim processing
  • Debt control
  • Control and oversee daily takings and weekly banking
  • Maintain protocols and standards as outlined by RCVS Practice Standards

The ideal candidate will have a proven leadership record, have management experience and have excellent computer skills. Previous veterinary experience is preferred but not essential. This position is available to start immediately.

Practice Manager (part time) – Lomond Hills Veterinary Clinic, Fife

Lomond Hills Veterinary Clinic is an independent small animal practice in Fife offering a caring service with a personal touch to our clients and patients.  We are looking for a part-time practice manager (approximately 20 hours a week) to join our friendly team and assist the partners in the day to day running of the practice.
